4-H Friends are the BEST friends to have! Especially when they love horses like he does! |
A dear friend of mine is also insane. She's amazingly wonderful and absolutely so bubbly! When you chat with her it is so easy to get excited about life! The greatest part of our friendship? Besides that our kids are about the same age, we live in the same ward/neighborhood, she also loves horses and 4-H! How did I get so lucky?!?! Anyway, I've been
harassing asking her to start a 4-H horse club for awhile now. Thankfully she finally
took the bait was able to do it 👏 I think that's why she is insane (in a good way)!

Our first trail ride! Such a beautiful morning on our horses with friends! |
I was so excited that she was finally going to start a club and it was around the time that I was thinking of becoming a SAHM so I asked if I could do a horse club with her and she said yes! I am so happy that we have been able to start a club together. Even if we are really using it as a good excuse we will get to ride our horses together 😉 We did our 1st meeting which included us introducing us and explaining to interested families/youth what we are wanting to accomplish with our club. This includes: general equine science lessons, horsemanship, riding, riding, and oh yes, more riding! During our first meeting we found out that there was other Moms, just like us that want to just go ride! I am so excited over that part! I feel like we've found a great group of youth and their families. We had a get to know you meeting that included some fun games and learning what is needed for a trail ride/first aid scenarios. The youth did so well. We then had our first trail ride. Although our numbers were small, we still had a great time!

Don't tell the kids, they were doing MATH! |
We had our first with horses, horse meeting last week and it went so great! Unfortunately, my co-leader was out of town but we still had our meeting. The youth learned how to properly weigh/measure their horses and the importance of knowing the weight of their horse for various reasons. We've got such a great group of kids and parents I was so thankful!

Rylan isn't too sure about having to wear a helmet but squished brains aren't too fun either! This is a learning process for both of us for sure! |
