We love our ONE year old!

Isn't this the best cake?!?! She "whipped" this up in a hurry and it still turned out great! Yay for wonderful (talented) friends! Some of our little fish.  Wow! Our littlest love turned 1 years old this weekend. This past year has been wonderful with her. We seriously lucked out with the sweetest easiest little love bug. Since she is so darn sweet, we had a watermelon themed birthday celebration for her. She is definitely "One in a Melon!" I couldn't get too many pictures without her face being covered but in this picture she's blowing kisses to her great grandparents. 💕 Aspyn with her Uncle Biggun and Grandpa Norm. They gave her a beautiful beaded bracelet and barretts. Thanks to Pinterest we had an italian soda bar! So yummy and many folks hadn't ever tried one before and they all noted how yummy/easy they were. Yum!  We wanted to keep it low-key and easy going so we kept it to close family and didn't even send

I love summer chores...

Since I've become a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) this past month we've incorporated daily chores for the boys. I think this is the main reason the R Love isn't as pleased with me being home full-time now, even though he won't admit it. Even though these same chores are the ones that have always been required, I have now just put it into writing and separated it by day. Each kid has their own age-appropriate chores that are spread throughout the week and definitely help me out a lot. The lists are on handy note cards and clipped/magnetic to their whiteboard that has daily reminders and updates. I also use our whiteboard to show Grayson what letters to look for his days of the week clothes (another post). These few small changes have helped give the little loves independence and a sense of responsibility. They know they have to get these done before any summer screen time can occur. We are so blessed that most days don't involve TV time because once the boys get done with
